Najaarsconferentie van de NVN en sectie Neuropsychologie van het NIP: Testing the Tests

Herkent u dat, u wil uw favoriete neuropsychologische test gebruiken, waarvan u zeker weet dat deze het beste de problematiek van de patiëntendoelgroep in kaart brengt, maar u gaat twijfelen wanneer u de handleiding openslaat, de betrouwbaarheid en validiteit bestudeert, de COTAN-beoordelingen leest en de magere normgegevens ziet? 

Of, dat u een behandeling wil evalueren met een voor- en nameting en u zich afvraagt wat de beste meetinstrumenten zijn, enerzijds klinisch relevant en anderzijds met voldoende methodologische rigiditeit? Of, dat u een nieuwe test of behandeling ontwikkelt, maar bij de implementatie daarvan allerlei obstakels tegenkomt? 

Als dit vraagstukken zijn die u interesseren, kom dan naar de Najaarsconferentie “Testing the tests; de weerbarstigheid van de praktijk” op vrijdag 14 oktober in het Crown Plaza Hotel te Maastricht. Deze conferentie gaat over de (noodzakelijke) starheid vanuit methodologische overwegingen bij het toepassen van bestaande tests of behandelprotocollen en bij het ontwikkelen en implementeren van nieuwe tests en behandelingen, versus de moeilijkheden en grenzen, maar ook mogelijkheden, die je tegenkomt in de klinische praktijk.

De Najaarsconferentie 2022 vindt plaats opvolgend op het Neuropsychological Rehabilitation Special Interest Group (NR-SIG-WFNR) congres op 12 en 13 oktober. Conference of the NVN and the Neuropsychology section of the NIP: Testing the Tests

Do you recognise the following: you want to use your favourite neuropsychological test, of which you are certain that it best identifies the problems of the patient target group, but you start to doubt when you open the manual, study the reliability and validity, read the COTAN evaluations and see the meagre normative data that is available? 

Or, that you want to evaluate a treatment with pre- and post-measurements and you wonder what the best measurement instruments are, on the one hand clinically relevant and on the other hand with sufficient methodological rigidity? Or, that you are developing a new test or treatment, but encounter all kinds of obstacles during its implementation? 

If these are issues that interest you, attend our conference: "Testing the tests; the recalcitrance of clinical practice". This conference is about the (necessary) rigidity from methodological considerations in applying existing tests or treatment protocols and in developing and implementing new tests and treatments, versus the difficulties and limitations, but also possibilities, that you encounter in clinical practice.
